Future proofing one of the world’s most iconic logos - IKEA is quick to embrace and experiment with new touchpoints, looking for different ways to connect and share stories. But the IKEA logo hadn’t been optimised since 1986. We graphically updated the logo and created the IKEA Fönster - a white, transparent version of IKEA’s logomark that’s purposely designed for the opportunities of dynamic digital communication. I even had the pleasure of naming it “The Fönster” (the window) in Swedish.
