Future proofing one of the world’s most iconic logos. For the first time since 1986, we updated the IKEA logo for a digital world. While keeping the unique charactertisics of the original logo we made subtle yet impactful changes for a better experience across different touchpoints. We then brought the new logo design to life in digital channels with the Fönster. Swedish for ‘window’, the Fönster is designed to reflect core IKEA values of openness, curiosity and optimism that have been central to the brand as they strive to create a better everyday life for the many. I also had the pleasure of naming it the Fönster - which is basically like the Swoosh of Sweden right?
